When I go on trips I always try to capture lots of virtual tour footage as well as taking panoramic shots. When I get back, often the project’s demands mean that all of the other shots are left dormant until I have time to work on them. (more…)

32 Metre / 105 foot Panoramic Print

Monday, November 10th, 2008

One of my panoramas has recently been reproduced at a massive scale – 32 metres (105 feet) for Cable & Wireless. The image is displayed at a new Cable & Wireless headquarters in Bracknell, Berkshire, which has been beautifully designed by an interior architects firm.

I’m back from exhibiting at the 9th Shanghai International Photographic Art Exhibition in China, and it was a pretty incredible experience. I was able to spend a few days travelling around Shanghai and the outskirts as well as spending time at the exhibition. We had a fairly hectic press conference, at which I discovered that I’m far happier on one side of the lens than the other! So somewhere I’m appearing on Chinese TV – but I’ve no idea where, so if anyone sees me, let me know! I’ve put a couple of Shanghai panoramas live on the Will Pearson site and will add more over the coming weeks and months.

I’ve also recently returned from California, where I was shooting some new Yungfuktoi fetish fashion images at an amazing underground location in Downtown LA. I’ll be adding those in the not too distant future.

I have been selected to join some of the UK’s leading photographers at the 9th Shanghai International Photographic Art Exhibition, which is a really exciting opportunity. The Yungfuktoi series will be included in the exhibition, along with another collection of panoramas. I am travelling out to China for the exhibition this Summer, and hope to be able to do a new series in Shanghai while I’m there. I’ll update the blog with images from Shanghai as soon as I can, so watch this space.
