National Theatre
Another example of Brutalist architecture in London, the National Theatre, by the River Thames on London’s South Bank, ranks amongst the best known. Designed by architect Danys Lasdun and opened in 1976, the theatre compliments many other arts and entertainment establishments on the South Bank, including the Royal Festival Hall, the Queen Elizabeth Hall and The Hayward Gallery.
