One Canada Square

Before the completion of The Shard in 2010, One Canada Square in London’s Canary Wharf was the tallest building in the United Kingdom, a title it had held for 20 years. Designed by Cesar Pelli and constructed by Sir Robert McAlpine & Sons this 50-storey 235-metre skyscraper has become a landmark London building.

During the two decades following it’s construction the area expanded greatly and many new skyscrapers joined One Canada Square, including its close neighbours at 8 and 25 Canada Square. Canary Wharf is now home to almost 100,00 workers.
